SGPC3 Low Power Gas Sensor for Mobile Applications

Sensirion SGPC3 metal-oxide gas sensor for air quality applications in mobile and wearable devices

Sensirion's SGPC3 digital multipixel gas sensor is the low power version of the SGP30, specifically designed for mobile and wearable applications.

The SGPC3 is a digital low-power gas sensor designed for indoor air quality applications. Sensirion’s CMOSens® technology offers a complete sensor system on a single chip featuring a digital I2C interface and a temperature controlled micro hotplate, and a preprocessed indoor air quality signal. The sensing element features an unmatched robustness against contaminating gases present in real-world applications enabling a unique long term stability and low drift.

The very small 2.45 mm x 2.45 mm x 0.9 mm DFN package and its very low power consumption make the SGPC3 perfectly suited for mobile and wearable applications. Sensirion’s state-of-the-art production process guarantees high reproducibility and reliability. Tape-and-reel packaging, together with suitability for standard SMD assembly processes, make the SGPC3 predestined for high-volume applications.

Sensirion's SEK-SGPC3 evaluation board allows users to test the SGPC3 sensor and get up and running quickly.
