Ultra Electronics wins $16m extension to US Navy security contract

According to the Middlesex-based business, the contract extends services provided by Ultra Electronics’ 3eTI division that relate to cyber-secure critical infrastructure to the US Department of the Navy.

Under the contract, Ultra Electronics 3eTI works with the US Navy to design, develop, integrate and install a variety of cyber-secure systems for critical infrastructure control and monitoring.

These include cyber proofing of various industrial control systems and electronic security systems in mission essential environments.

Rakesh Sharma, chief executive of Ultra Electronics, said: “We are pleased to have extended our contract with the Department of the Navy for the delivery of a defence-in-depth framework which ensures the highest levels of security.

“The award underscores the value of Ultra Electronics solutions which are fully accredited and proven effective.”

The work is undertaken at locations in California, Hawaii and in the Washington DC area and is expected to be completed by September 2018.
